Visiting Judge Program

When Judge Kovack took office she reduced the number of lawyers on the staff who conducted trials (Trial Magistrates) to provide funding for other programs that would help families resolve their differences without expensive fighting.

 

To make sure she continued to process cases efficiently with fewer Magistrates, Judge Kovack implemented a Visiting Judge program. 

 

This program brings experienced retired Domestic Relations judges to Medina County at a fraction of the cost of a magistrate.  County taxpayers only for the retired judges' mileage and a small amount each year to the Supreme Court.
